CSB 3022 Soy/Paraffin Instructions
Instructions for CSB 3022 soy/paraffin wax.
This wax blend of 70% soy/veggie and 30% paraffin is an excellent container wax. We have found that fragrances throw very well and linger in the air longer than other soy waxes we've tried.
When using soy waxes, you must check your fragrance oils to make sure they are marked as soy compatible. Some fragrances don't throw very well in soy wax. You may use up to 1.5 ounces of fragrance oil per pound of wax. Fragrance oil should be measured by weight. Heat wax to 180 degrees to add color (if desired) and fragrance oil. While still on the heat, blend well until fragrance oil is absorbed.
Let cool to about 160 degrees to pour into jars. You will also need to choose a wick one size larger than when using paraffin wax. Wait until you see a layer of wax beginning to cool in the bottom of your jar to place the wick. This will help stabilize the wick in place. You can also use a pencil or popsicle stick across the top of the jar to help keep it centered.
